New Visions, formerly the Albany County Association for Retarded Citizens, is the Albany chapter of NYSARC, Inc., the largest non-profit organization that serves people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities in the United States. Since 1951, NewVisions has provided valuable programs, services and opportunities for people with developmental disabilities in the Capital Region.
We currently serve over 600 people and their families with community-based programs such as day habilitation, day training, residential services, vocational training and opportunities for education and recreation.
Our work is focused on our mission, “to serve, advocate and offer opportunities to persons with differing abilities and their families…” We believe in helping people become as independent and community integrated as possible, with person-centered planning, empowerment and individual choice the core principles of our vision. We're glad you're here, and we hope you'll take some time to look around and get to know us - we know you'll be glad you did!
NewVisions also offers many excellent part-time and full-time employment positions. For more information, click here.
