  • Residential Counselors - Here is your opportunity to become one of our top quality Direct Care staff !! Evenings and Weekends. Assisting developmentally disabled adults with all daily life activities in a homey, happy residential setting. Good interpersonal and teamwork skills are essential. Proof of Highschool degree/ GED is required, plus a clean NY driver's license. Full time, 40 hours per week includes training, great benefits. Or Part time and  Relief positions available to fit your schedule.
  • Direct Support Professional -  Become part of our enthusiastic, dedicated Day Habilitation team. We currently have part-time substitute positions available. (position could become full-time) Our program operates Mon-Fri, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. Assist in providing direct care for the people we serve, engaging in both facility and community-based activities which promote independence, inclusion and individual choice. Must have own transportation (There is no public transport to our Krumkill Rd facility).  Highschool/GED degree plus Clean NY driver's license required.
  • "Drop-In" Center Respite Worker - If you're looking for a heart-warming, resume-building experience, come work in our Drop-In Center !  This is an "after-school" type of program where staff provide quality recreational, creative and social time for adults with developmental disabilities. The activities may be in-house or out in the community.  The hours are PART-TIME.  The program operates Monday - Friday, 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Flexible hours are available if you can't work everyday.  Must have own transportation to our Krumkill Road facility. 
  • In-Home Res Hab Professional - providing support and respite to the family of a developmentally disabled adult living at home. Schedule will vary, and hours are Part-time.  Duties includes both direct care and social activities in community, so some driving is required. Assists consumer with healthy food choices, personal hygiene, appropriate social behavior. Promotes consumer's independence, individualization, inclusion and productivity. HS/GED plus some experience with developmentally disabled.
  • Registered Nurses - seeking flexible, independent RN to provide nursing care in our Residential program.  Full-time 40 hours/ week. Must have current NYS license and min. 1 year clinical nursing experience.  Experience with developmentally disabled population is a plus.
  • Residential Manager - Full time, 40 hrs/wk with occasional eves and weekends. Oversees daily operations, admin and consumer services in a community residence. Includes supervision of staff, coordination of consumer services, and regulatory compliance / documentation. BS is preferred; proof of Highschool/ GED is required. Must have min 1 year supervisory experience in a community residence. Must have clean NY drivers license.

  • Food Service Cashier - for busy cafeteria, Full-time 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM Monday - Friday.  Must be experienced and have own transportation. Will also assist with food prep and serving.  Good salary, great benefits. NY state regulations require criminal background check.
  • Accounts Payable Specialist - Full - time. Health and Welfare Plans

Our benefits help you reduce or defray the costs of staying healthy.

  • Medical Plan.  Employees pay a share of the premium through payroll deductions.  For eligible employees, the cost for individual coverage is minimal, depending on the plan you choose.
  • Dental Plan.  Employees pay a nominal premium through payroll deductions.
  • Premium Only Plan.  Enrolling in this plan allows employees to pay for health and/or dental insurance with pre-tax dollars.
  • Life Insurance.  No cost to eligible employees.
  • Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance.  No cost to eligible employees.

Savings Plans

We recognize that planning for the future goes beyond career choices.  We can help you get your dollars working for you now so they'll be there when you need them at retirement.

  • Pension Plan. Eligible employees can make contributions to a 401(k) plan through pre-tax payroll deductions.  New Visions also contributes a percentage of eligible employees' annual earnings into the self-directed retirement account established in their name for every full year that they are enrolled in the plan. 
  •  403(b) Plan.  Eligible employees may contribute a percentage of compensation to a variety of mutual funds through pre-tax payroll deductions.

Time Off 

While we hope that you'll love the work you do for New Visions, we also know how important it is to take time to rest and recharge.  That's why we offer our employees a generous amount of time off each year.

  • Vacation Leave.  After six months of employment, eligible employees will accrue 1 day per month.  Accrual rate increases with tenure.
  • Sick Leave.  Eligible employees accrue 1 day per month. After 2 yrs, opportunity for "buy back" payment.
  • Floating Holiday Leave.  Eligible employees receive 1 day per quarter per calender year (total 4 days per calendar year). Advances may be taken within the calendar year. 
  • Paid Holiday Leave.  Nine days of paid leave for eligible employees.
